The images here are from a book project I did named “hello darling! Olá querida! Hej älskling! - Reflections on Family. The project was a ver personal exploration of the duality of family, looking at the two sides that we come from and how that informs our realities. I was interested in putting family members alongside each other both within the same half of the family and with those from the opposite side.  In doing this, you see two sets of parents or grandparents that happen to have this connection, having never known each other. In my case along with I imagine many others, this was interesting because they were from opposite sides of the world so the likelihood they ever would have known each other otherwise is pretty low. 

 

The dual nature of the book is not just in the content but also in the structure of the book itself with the book being two books bound together that open in a mirror to each other. So it is read across four pages rather than two.
